The Badlands & The Oasis
On April 14th. 2019 Ferrari Club Vegas hosted a Drive to Death Valley National Park. The drive began at 9:00a.m. at The Silverton Hotel & Casino. We had lunch at The Inn at The Oasis Hotel in Death Valley at Noon.

Death Valley is in the northern Mojave Desert bordering the Great Basin Desert. It is one of the hottest places on earth with a record high of 134°F or 59°C! It is also 282 feet below sea level at its lowest elevation.

This beautiful desert has big horn sheep, wild burros, red-tailed hawks and even pupfish in Salt Creek at the center of the valley.

The scenic outlook called Zabrinskie Point has breathtaking views of the characteristic erosional landscape.

An elegant hideaway since 1927, The historic Inn at Death Valley was once the exclusive desert escape for stars such as Marlon Brando, Clark Gable, and Carole Lombard.

The property features date palm gardens natural spring and a spring-fed pool which is consistently 87 degrees.

A Spring Drive to the Colorado River

 

On March 10th, 2019 the club held a day drive to Laughlin, NV. It is located on the Colorado River, right across from Bullhead City, Arizona. Laughlin is about 90 miles (140 km) south of Las Vegas, in the far southern tip of Nevada, and is known for its gaming and water recreation.

We meet at The Fiesta Casino at 9am before the run. When we arrived we stopped at the Aquarius Casino on the river and had lunch at The Outback.

The Ferrari Club Drive on April 29th 2018 took us to the Pioneer Saloon by way of The Seven Magic Mountains.

The Seven Magic Mountains, a two-year public art installation, is located approximately 10 miles south of Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway in Henderson, Nevada. The installation site is a short distance from legendary Jean Dry Lake where Michael Heizer and Jean Tinquely created significant sculptures in the 1960s.

The world famous Pioneer Saloon of Goodsprings, Nevada has a rich history and heritage of the old mining towns, Hollywood of yesteryear and the Wild West!
